Who we are & scope

Business/website name: Design System Generator by Conn Castle Studios ("we," "us," "our").

Scope: This Privacy Policy applies only to visitors in the United States who use designsystemgenerator.com (the "Site"). We do not provide EU/UK-specific disclosures and do not operate a cookie consent banner or GDPR workflows.

Audience: general audience; our Site is not directed to children under 13.

Information we collect

1) Information you provide

• Design inputs & color palettes: prompts, color codes, and related content you submit to generate palettes/design systems.
• Text and files you upload: any text you type and files you choose to upload for feature delivery and improvement.
• Optional contact: if you email us, we'll receive your email address and message.

2) Automatic site analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 for measurement only. Ads Features and Google Signals are disabled, and we do not link GA4 to Google Ads for advertising use. GA4 helps us understand how the Site is used (e.g., pages viewed, time on page, events like button clicks), along with device/browser information and approximate location (city/region inferred from IP at time of request). We use these insights to operate, secure, and improve the Site—not to build advertising profiles.

3) Cookies and similar technologies

• Essential/functionality cookies: used to operate core features (e.g., remember limited settings or help the Site function). We do not require account creation.
• Analytics cookies: used by GA4 to measure site usage. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.

How we use information

• Provide the design/palette generation features and operate the Site
• Analyze performance and usage (analytics only)
• Fix bugs, maintain security, and prevent abuse
• Improve features and user experience

No sale/share for ads: We do not sell personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and do not conduct targeted advertising.

Details about Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

• Configuration: GA4 is used for measurement only; Ads Features and Google Signals are turned off; GA4 is not linked to Google Ads for advertising purposes. We treat Google as our service provider/processor for analytics.
• What GA4 collects: page views, events (e.g., clicks, navigation), general geolocation (city/region), device/browser type and settings, referrer, and session information.
• How we use GA4 data: to understand aggregate usage, troubleshoot issues, and improve features. We do not build advertising profiles.
• Controls you can use:
  • Manage or clear cookies in your browser settings.
  • Optionally install Google's opt-out add-on: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (provided by Google). This is not a site-level opt-out.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because no uniform DNT standard has been adopted, our Site does not respond to DNT signals. Regardless, we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your privacy choices & U.S. state rights

Depending on your U.S. state, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. To make a request, email contact@conncastle.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject and tell us what you're asking for. We may take steps to verify your identity. If an authorized agent is making a request on your behalf, we may ask for proof of authorization.

• Opt-out of sale/share/targeted advertising: Not applicable—we do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use targeted advertising.
• Appeals: If your state provides an appeal process and you disagree with a decision on your request, reply to our email with "Appeal" in the subject.

Children's privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us at contact@conncastle.com, and we will take appropriate steps.

Data retention

• User-submitted project data (design inputs, palettes, generated outputs): retention is currently unknown and may be indefinite, unless you request deletion (where applicable) or we remove it for operational reasons.
• Analytics logs (GA4): retention is managed by Google under the applicable GA4 settings/policies. We do not control the duration of storage on Google's systems.

We also retain information as needed to operate the Site, resolve disputes, enforce terms, and meet legal obligations. When deciding retention, we consider the type of data, why it was collected, and legal, operational, or security needs.

Where information is processed

We operate in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the U.S. and other locations where they operate. We rely on provider-appropriate protections consistent with the services used.

How we share information

• Service providers: We use service providers who are contractually limited to using information only to provide services to us—for example:
  • Google Analytics 4 (analytics measurement only; Ads Features and Google Signals disabled; not linked for advertising use).
  • Supabase (database/storage services to operate Site features).
• Legal/safety: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

No sale/share for ads: We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date below. If changes are material, we may provide an additional notice on the Site.
